Key Issues
Key Issues
Below are the priorities I’m committed to addressing in District 3. Learn more in depth, about my vision for infrastructure, safety, economic opportunities, transparent governance, and essential community services.
Key Issues
-
Hillsborough County is expanding rapidly, but growth without strategy leads to overcrowded roads, strained utilities, and communities that feel overwhelmed. My plan focuses on structured, intentional development that improves infrastructure before new projects break ground. That includes smarter traffic flow, upgraded drainage systems, modernized utilities, and transportation planning that reduces congestion rather than reacting to it. Development should enhance neighborhoods—not burden them—and that requires holding builders accountable, protecting taxpayer dollars, and ensuring every project benefits the people who already live here.
At the same time, we must protect historic districts like Ybor City by revitalizing them without erasing their cultural identity. We can create new economic opportunities while preserving the architecture and character that define these areas. With disciplined planning, transparent budgeting, and a long-term vision for transportation and growth, we can build a stronger, safer, and more efficient county—one that honors its past while preparing intelligently for its future.
-
A safe community is the foundation of a strong county, and public safety begins with leadership that supports law enforcement, invests in community wellbeing, and plans ahead instead of reacting after problems arise. My focus is on strengthening coordination between agencies, improving response times, and ensuring our deputies, firefighters, and first responders have the tools, training, and resources they need to protect our families. This includes addressing infrastructure issues that impact safety—like poor lighting, outdated intersections, and neighborhoods that need better visibility and road design to reduce accidents and crime.
But true public safety goes beyond enforcement. It’s also about building environments that discourage crime before it happens, supporting youth programs, improving mental-health response options, and ensuring new developments follow proper safety guidelines from the start. By prioritizing prevention, strengthening community trust, and making sure taxpayer dollars are used efficiently, we can create a county where every resident—no matter the neighborhood—feels protected, supported, and secure.

Hillsborough County has enormous potential for economic expansion, but growth must be structured, intentional, and aligned with the needs of our communities. As a small business owner, I understand the challenges local entrepreneurs face—long permitting delays, inconsistent regulations, and county processes that slow progress. My approach focuses on cutting red tape, modernizing county operations, and ensuring that businesses receive timely, transparent, and accountable service. When government becomes more efficient and predictable, job creation accelerates, investment rises, and our economy becomes more resilient.
Strong economic development also means planning growth the right way, revitalizing underused districts, and encouraging new development that enhances neighborhoods rather than overwhelming them. Structured growth brings stability: it protects historic areas like Ybor City, supports small businesses, strengthens workforce opportunities, and guides large projects so they add long-term value to the county. With disciplined planning, strategic investment, and leadership that puts residents and local businesses first, Hillsborough County can build a thriving economy that benefits families today and sets the foundation for a prosperous future.
-
Hillsborough County deserves leadership that works for the people, not behind closed doors. Too many decisions are made without clear communication, predictable timelines, or proper oversight—leaving residents frustrated and businesses uncertain. My commitment is to bring full transparency to the county’s budgeting, permitting, and development processes. That means clear reporting, open communication, and ensuring taxpayers know exactly where their money is going and why. Accountability isn’t just a talking point; it’s a standard. Every department, every project, and every dollar spent should reflect the priorities of the community—not political convenience.
True accountability also requires structured planning and measurable results. I will push for performance-based evaluations within county departments, realistic deadlines for public projects, and systems that prevent waste and mismanagement before they happen. Residents should have confidence that major initiatives, from infrastructure upgrades to economic development, are being handled responsibly, efficiently, and with integrity. My goal is to rebuild trust by setting a higher standard of leadership—one that is open, honest, and unwaveringly committed to serving the people of Hillsborough County.

A strong county begins with leaders who are present, involved, and committed to serving the people they represent. Community service means showing up—not just during election season, but year-round—to listen, help, and support the organizations, families, and local businesses that make Hillsborough County thrive. As a small business owner, I interact with residents every day, hearing their challenges firsthand and actively finding ways to make a positive impact. My goal is to strengthen partnerships with local nonprofits, schools, churches, and volunteer groups so we can address community needs together with real solutions, not political promises.
Community service is also about building a culture of connection and responsibility. Whether it’s supporting youth programs, organizing local clean-up efforts, helping vulnerable seniors, or creating spaces where neighbors feel safe and supported, I believe leadership should lead by example. I plan to expand county-backed initiatives that encourage civic engagement, promote mentorship, and build pride in our neighborhoods. When elected, I will continue being a hands-on, accessible, and proactive presence—working with residents directly to ensure every part of Hillsborough County has the attention, support, and opportunity it deserves.
